On July 12th, at the Hotel Los Alpes in San Bernardino, the final draft of the Road Safety Master Plan was presented, led by the Consortium in which Grupo SEG participates in the Republic of Paraguay.

This work aims to provide a strategic vision and work plans that will guide the implementation of policies aimed at reducing the scourge of road accidents and incidents in the country over the next ten years.

The proposal arises as a result of a contract signed with the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), with the collaboration and technical supervision of the National Traffic and Road Safety Agency (ANTSV), and the financing from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

For the creation of the Master Plan, close collaboration has been established with various institutions and organizations from both the public and private sectors, including different Ministries (Education and Science, Health and Social Welfare, Interior, Industry and Commerce, among others), various National Directorates (Traffic Police, DINATRAN, etc.), Municipalities, business groups, unions, and civil organizations (Insurance Companies, Consultancies, Victims’ Family Associations, Touring and Automobile Club of Paraguay, and others).

The document presents the strategic vision of the work and various action plans addressing the FIVE PILLARS of road safety: Safety Management, Safer Roads, Safer Vehicles, Safer Users, and Post-Accident Response.
