Grupo SEG, through one of its companies, completed the technical, economic, and environmental feasibility studies and the final design for the improvement of the intersection between Américo Picco, Acceso Sur, and Avelino Martínez avenues in 2021.
The Ministry of Public Works and Communications is currently developing its construction, which is 70% complete as of now, as can be seen in the images.
The designed intersection required a depressed underpass using secant pile walls over a length of more than 700 meters. A dual carriageway with two lanes in each direction, along with corresponding medians and shoulders, has been planned, requiring an investment of approximately 20 million USD.
