The works began in February 2022 and involve the renovation of 47 km of track between Tapiales and Marinos del Crucero General Belgrano stations on the Belgrano Sur line.

In addition to the track renewal, it is worth noting the construction of a 1.5 km section on a viaduct with two railway bridges and a underpass.

It also includes the renewal of vehicular and pedestrian level crossings, station upgrades with the construction of new platforms, and the renovation of the Marinos del Crucero General Belgrano station. Finally, perimeter fencing will be carried out along the entire route.
